That’s it… that was the tweet that caught fire in December 2022. The Twitterverse was in a frenzy playing armchair detectives and litigators amid Tory Lanez standing trial for the shooting of female rap megastar Megan Thee Stallion. I wasn’t caught up in the fan wars, but I was struck by the gender battle happening online. I could only imagine how triggering and discouraging it was to watch play-out for victims of domestic abuse and violent crime. I fired off a tweet and it blew up overnight. This viral moment led to an opportunity to dig in and publish a piece on POPSUGAR.

Now that things have died down, I’m back to Wordle posts, TeacherTwitter, Hip-Hop Top 10 opinions and political snark — but it was fun while it lasted.
